Memories from Marisa

Created by Jonathan Kent 3 years ago
I first met Bob when I was 12 through Lisa. I had just moved to Woodford and joined a new school where I met Lisa. We became friends instantly and were pretty much inseparable from that point. I stayed at Lisa's family home frequently and soon got to know the whole family really well, in fact they were like my second family!  I got to know Lisa's brother Clive and her sister Karen who was already engaged to Bob.

It was clear that Karen and Bob were very much in love and you could tell they were destined to be together. As the years passed, Lisa and I grew closer as if we were sisters and we would often babysit for Karen and Bob's 3 boys.  They always left a mix of chocolate treats in the fridge! I was invited to many of the family events and truly felt like one of the family. Karen and Bob were always incredibly warm, kind and generous. Their Christian values were always shined through and Bob was always light hearted about everything and I believe their conviction in God's plan was always evident in everything they said and did!

I will always remember Bob's laughter, and his jokes, as he couldnt resist pulling your leg! His laugh used to make us all laugh too! I very rarely saw Bob in a sad or serious mood and I believe that having such a wonderful wife in Karen and his three adorable boys, Mark Jason and Jonathan was his best accomplishment.

I will always hold the memory of Bob, Karen and all of Lisa's family very dear as if they were my own.

May God bless all the family members as we send Bob on his eternal journey to join our Lord. May he test in peace and watch over all of them.

With eternal love and blessings to all of you gathered today,

Marisa
